Make A Wish! – 11/11 – Nick Flash’s New Music Monday

This week’s new music Monday jams are heavily taken from Spotify’s Friday Cratediggers playlist. With emphasis on the digging part. I really had to dig this week, but as always, I came away with some gold. I’ve played all of my top 5 picks this past weekend in the club, and they all slapped. Tried and True. Since I have so many damn projects dropping with OffKey Magazine, I genuinely didn’t have time to translate this post into video form but hopefully next week we can. For now, enjoy the list and make sure to follow us on on Instagram.

10. Shy Martin – Make Us Never Happen

Most of us have that one ex that we just wish we could forget. To get the time back we spent with them, to save us all the heartache and grief. But until Doc Brown finally mass produces time machines, this song is the best we got.

9. Anthony Russo – Thinkin Bout You

This one is a true pop song in every sense. I dig it cause it has a funky groove that I can work into my opening dj sets and set the tone for later in the night. It’s got a beat that’ll get people tapping their toes and bobbing their heads, and that’s all I can really ask for in a pop song. Catchy vocals and a unique style, I can definitely see Anthony Russo having a long lasting career.

8. Emotional Oranges – West Coast Love

While I live on the east coast of Florida, the West Coast has always had an impact on me musically. California’s culture has influenced me heavily, especially the hip-hop. West Coast Love is the perfect ode to that culture, and really immerses you in it if you close your eyes and use your imagination.

7. Omar Apollo feat. Dominic Fike & Kenny Beats – Hit Me Up

Regardless of the order this song falls in, it’s actually my favorite one on the list. It’s so smooth and catchy with a real hip-hop & R&b vibe that I can listen to over and over again.

6. Doja Cat – Cyber Sex

What can I say about Doja Cat? She’s just an icon. This single marks the release of her full length album Hot Pink and I couldn’t be more excited about it. For someone like me that met his girlfriend on Instagram, and has regular phone sex due to the distance of our relationship, I feel this. Full album review soon.

5. T.Williams, James Jacob, & Kelli – Leigh

Strictly Rhythm is such an iconic record label, with hits like Josh Wink’s- Higher State Of Consciousness (Tweekin Acid Funk) & River Oceans’s – Love & Happiness 12″ Mix feat. India, only I haven’t heard anything from them from them in quite a while.. until now. The iconic brick backdrop and logo immediately stopped my scrolling and made me click it. Thank goodness, because this song is a banger!

4. SNBRN, Lucati, 1993

Next time I see SNBRN on a festival or club lineup, I’m getting front row tickets. Homie sets the club on fire. His shit just hit’s different. Side note: He also came out with a song this year called Tits On a Tricycle. Nuff said.

3. Niall Horan – Nice To Meet Ya (Diplo Remix)

How the hell does Diplo do it? I just don’t understand how one man can dj the globe and make hit’s at such a consistent rate. What the hell is his secret for being so productive? I need to know!! Nevertheless he’s got another banger with a real 90’s dance club feel that mixes perfect with Crystal Waters- Gypsy Woman. You’re Welcome.

2. Georgia – Never Let You Go (MK Remix)

MK’s songs are a feeling. They heighten your emotions and increase the serotonin to your brain. This remix will make you fall in love on the dance floor with the first person you lock eye’s with and never let them go. This is a great look for Georgia.

1. Louis The Child feat. Drew Love – Free

Freedom is never truly free, there’s always a cost. And sometimes that cost can be a broken heart. Drew Love is optimistic about his broken heart here, taking solace in the fact that his ex-lover is no longer tied-down to him, no matter how much it may hurt. While the track hits hard as and tops our list, I’m really looking forward to the remixes. Bring em on!
