What does it mean to be #OffKey?
Miriam Webster defines Off-Key as:
1. Varying in pitch from the proper tone of a melody
2. Irregular, Anomalous.
Thesaurus.com likes to use many words beginning in D such as:
Deviant, Discordant, Dissonant, Divergent.
If we look at the first two, Deviant & Discordant, both adjectives, defined as being abnormal, different, and differing, we’re led even deeper down a rabbit hole to words like unorthodox, weird, poles-apart, irregular, diverse, & freaky.
To be #OffKey is to embody these qualities. To embrace our eccentricities and revel in our differences. To take a stand for inequality while respecting others and their unique individualities. That is what our brand is all about.
This blog will be a platform to share our #offkey philosophies as we expand into a full fledged magazine and lifestyle brand in the years to come. We will showcase original works and writings from #offkey creatives around the world. Until then, we will be using social media platforms to gauge what content get’s the most response.
