It’s about God damn time! Dj Nick Flash & the artist formally known as Dj So What! (Dave Ferreira) finally release their first Podcast, Boombox Broadcast on OffKey Radio & Itunes. It’s been a long time coming. The two Dj’s have both been spinning records, rocking parties, and making music for well over a decade now, so the progression to a podcast was long overdue.
Conception
The conception of the OffKey lifestyle brand has provided a solid platform for the two artists to share their views on music, culture, and current events. This time, there’s nothing in their way to stop them. Below you can stream the first podcast as well as their fist Spotify playlist of the week.
The duo first met via Myspace. Who out there remembers MySpace?! Dave (DJ So What!) came across Nick Flash’s page after moving to Florida, and the two had an instant musical chemistry. That chemistry led to the creation of this track- Retro, as well as many others bangers in the Bloghouse genre.
The two took a few years hiatus after both having children and delving into other creative ventures. But now they’re back and not planning on going anywhere.
Musically they both have very similar tastes, yet both tend to have polar opposite views which makes for great radio. Dave himself is a Pop Punk purist, while Nick’s taste can vary with the day and even the hour. But despite their differences, their roots are both grounded in music history.
