Episode 2: I’M A HUMAN SIR!
This episode was groundbreaking being that it was our first release ever on Itunes!
We’re now official iTunes affiliates. The links to the right are our badges of honor
To the untrained ear, one might think the two have a Seindfeld-esq show about nothing. But in reality, they touch on crucial topics of the creative process. This episode touches on the art of alter-ego’s and coming up with creative names for your work, as well as the struggle of not being defined by them. Hence the title, I’m Human man!
They break down the internets fascination with clickbait and walking the delicate line of not pandering to certain audiences just to gain likes and followers. They give you a glimpse into their day jobs and the projects they hope to complete in the future, as well share an array of new music for New Music Friday without any restraint of opinion. There’s many surprises as well, so listen and don’t be afraid to give your feedback. We want to hear from you!!
Boombox Broadcast: Christmas Special
Holidays specials are always fun as hell to do, Christmas specials especially. For this episode we went to visit the mall Santa and scope Toy’s R Us before their tragic going out of business. We shopped Christmas trees, ate cookies, and drank egg nog until we passed out. We discuss the importance of giving, and reminisce on some of the favorite things we’ve ever received.
Episode 13: Exploding Hearts Valentines Day Party
Live on remote from downtown West Palm Beach at 123 Datura. The Killaboombox duo hosts their very first event under the OffKey umbrella for Valentines Day. Stories about horrible dates and great ones, behind the scenes info on their short horror film Yours Truly, and much more.
After the recording of this, the guys had to blow up 99 red balloons and prepare packages of Valentine candy. Dave took to the turntables, or in this case the Roland Dj 808 and turned the party out. Nick Flash hosted and more than likely had too much to drink. Stream the episode and hear the whole story.
Episode 4: Fairytales with Dj Fairytale
Episode 4 marked the first time we ever featured a guest. Conducting interviews has become a staple in our podcasts format, and we were happy to have Stardust the Kid kick it off. You may be thinking, Stardust the Kid? I though his name was Dj fairytale? Well, he has currently changed his stage name after moving to Cali.
Stardust the Kid hails from Latvia and is both a Dj and a world traveler. Originally Dj Pasaka, which in English translates to Dj Fairytale, we thought it’d be fun to have him read fairytales on the show. He and Nick also discuss crazy stories from their cross country road trip to Arkansas and New Orleans. As an avid traveler, he shares experiences from across the globe.
Episode 9: Theatre of the Mind with Issac Kuhn
This episode was just pure fun. Issac is a natural on a mic, and shares many insights and entertaining stories about what it’s like working as a theatre actor. Hands down one of my favorite episodes. It’s a perfect conclusion to our list for season 1. Stay tuned for much much more. Drop us a comment and let us know what some of your favorite episodes have been!
